The Food by Fire provides elevated wedding feast options, focusing on flavour and fun. All of our food is prepared over fire and we are a far cry from your traditional minted peas. Choose from family-feast style or a dressed table for service to ensure your guests are not only satisfied but talk about the meal as a highlight of the day. Our Head Chef Josh Hunter and our chefs are with you for the whole journey.

THE MAIN FEAST

Freshly made focaccia bread

Feast Mains Options:

Your choice of three meat or vegetable options.

  • BBQ Chicken with Charred pumpkin seed Sauce and Pickles

  • Woodfired Whole Market Fish, Fennel slaw, Fennel Bouillabaisse sauce

  • Wood Roasted whole Root Vegetables, Whipped Tahini, Zhug green chilli sauce. v

  • 5-hour coal roasted Cabbage, Kiwi Dukka, Charred Spring onion buttermilk cream. v

  • Whole Ribeye beef, Leek ash, Black currant Beef Jus

  • Whole Roast Duck, Blood Orange Duck Sauce

  • Whole hind Leg of Venison, Blackberry sauce

  • Roast Lamb Shoulder with Harrisa

  • Fire-roasted Manuka smoked cauliflower with caramelised onion Soubise & nut mix ( VG DF GF)

    PREMIUM OPTION: Add on a whole-hog or whole lamb shoulder, cooked low and slow in front of your guests - a real showstopper.

    SEASONAL SIDES

    Choose three seasonal side options from the selection.

    • Wood Roasted Potatoes - Garlic and Rosemary

    • Fire roasted Broccoli - Eggplant babaganosh, tabbouleh with nuts

    • Classic Caesar - Cos, Bacon, Crouton, Caesar Sauce

    • Harissa Carrots - Crunchy Chickpeas, Almond and Cardamom whipped yoghurt

    • Barley grain Salad - Mint, parsley and fire-roasted black Doris plum, spiced walnuts, labneh

    • Seasonal Salad - Summer Slaw. Crisp radish, cabbage, roasted pepitas, roasted capsicum, coriander (or mint), red onion with apple cider, mustard, pepper dressing

    PREMIUM OPTION: Shaved truffle across one of your dishes - when in season.

OUR SERVICE STYLE

Food By Fire bring a portable kitchen that can be setup anywhere! We make dining the star of the show and can set up in guest view or discretely out of the way and cook food onsite. Our custom Bedford trucks add to the ambience of dining and we find guests love the interaction.

When it comes to service, you have three options:

  1. Family Style- Served with French-platters of meat and sides served to each table for guests to share including all plateware and cutlery. See an example of this service on our Instagram here OR

  2. Dressed Table - Served a dressed table, with all plateware and cutlery provided. See an example of this setup on our Instagram here OR

  3. Walk and fork - served in bowls for a more casual dining experience with all plateware and cutlery provided.

The Food by Fire menu is prepared for hours on our off-the-grid kitchen setup over fire and is a flavour showstopper. We use flames to fuel an epic shared menu in any location featuring a shared feast of your choice of meat or vegetable selections paired with epic seasonal sides. Dietaries can be catered for. Minimum of 50 people..

DESSERT MENU

Base Food by Fire’s desserts bring together the best flavours, still featuring fire at the core. From toasting your own S’mores to tucking into campfire pudding with seasonal stone fruit, there’ll be something for everyone. Desserts are served family-style for guests to dig in. Your choice of two options.

  • DIY S’mores

    Toast our house marshmallows over flames, dipped & sandwiched between biscuits. A fun experience for all! Unique to Food by Fire.

  • Tiramisu

    Our infamous take on tiramisu - layers of sponge, soaked in coffee with mascarpone, topped with chocolate.

  • Campfire Pud

    Our take on bread and butter pudding cooked over the fire with a charcoal custard.

  • Mousse & Charred fruit

    White chocolate & yogurt mousse with ginger crumb and seasonal fire-roasted fruit.

WELCOME STATIONS

Add a warm welcome to your wedding with a welcome station. With our chefs on the grills, we interact with the guests to provide the perfect first taste, or have these served roaming. Choose from Seafood, Skewers or Raw stations.

SKEWER STATIONS

Brussels Sprouts with pickled mustard green salsa (vg, g.f. d.f )

Lamb Heart with zhug, Tahini yoghurt, and dukkah spice mix (g.f)

RAW STATIONS

Raw fish with betel leaf winter citrus burnt ends (g.f )

Venison Tartare with Kibbeh Venison in Vine Leaf & charcoal burnt yoghurt (g.f)

SEAFOOD STATIONS

Shellfish Station Oysters With a Rose Mignonette (g.f d.f)

Mussels with Smoked cider butter & Krout (g.f)

Alternatively, if you’re looking for a more casual option you can option for our snack tacos or sliders to begin.

LATE NIGHT SNACK

It’s a real trend for wedding parties to provide a late-night snack for their guests. It’s the perfect way to finish the evening and ensure your guests soak up any beverages consumed.
